RESUMES THAT GET RESULTS
Resumes that Get Results emphasizes the many resources available to job seekers—both hard copy and online, whether service industry or technology-based. Methodical job seeking and effective interviewing techniques are addressed as is the need to focus on the applicant’s skills in addition to past jobs. Also covered is skillful résumé development to include the importance of using key words, the use of appropriate layout and design, and methods of submission presented in a workshop format.
Gary Michael Smith has held jobs with such companies as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, CACI, eVenture, and the American Heart Association. As a former résumé writing franchise manager, he has written hundreds of résumés for job seekers ranging from minimum wage hourly workers to six-figure salaried professionals. Mr. Smith has lectured to the staff of a New Orleans Employment Office for the Louisiana Department of Labor as well as university students on the topics of skillful résumé writing, methodical job seeking, and effective interviewing techniques.
