COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP and SCENE STUDY CLASS

Veteran theatre, film, and television actor Lance E. Nichols will be teaching two dynamic workshops this Summer at the COMEDY CONSERVATORY. Mr. Nichols has appeared in numerous TV shows to include "West Wing," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "The Practice," "NYPD Blue," "The Drew Carey Show," "The Shield," and "Touched by an Angel." His film credits include "K-PAX," starring Kevin Spacey; "Frailty," with Matthew McConauhgey; and "Runaway Jury," starring Gene Hackman. He has been nominated numerous times for a Los Angeles Ovation Award, an NAACP Theatre Award, a Drama-Logue Award, an L.A. Weekly Theatre award, and a Big Easy Award for various productions in Los Angeles and New Orleans. He served as Acting and Dialogue Coach on the Disney Movie of the Week, "Growing Pains, Family Reunion," and spends 3 months out of each year in Los Angeles working as an actor and private coach.

The COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP will meet on six consecutive Saturdays, June 4 - July 9 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Topics covered include auditioning for commercials, types of commercials, headshots, the casting process, and residuals. The SCENE STUDY class will meet on six consecutive Sundays, June 5 - July 10 from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. This will be an intensive hands-on class where everyone will get to work EVERY CLASS. Both of these workshops are ON CAMERA. Class size is limited to 16 persons per workshop. An audition WILL BE REQUIRED for the Scene Study class. Each workshop is $250 with a 50 percent deposit required by May 21 to secure a spot in class. Balances are due at the first meeting of each workshop.
